• Developed a plan to combat issues and problems using Crime Prevention through Environmental

• Placement of speed humps along Chesapeake Avenue to reduce speed and reduce its use as a cut-through between Hampton and Newport News
  
  
• Started a alley way maintenance program that included the installation of better lighting and routine trimming of trees and bushes
  
  
• New street signs installed that illustrated the historical nature of the neighborhood
  
  
• Preserving and sharing the Olde Wythe’s rich history with 6 history projects
  
  
• Conversion of the overlooks along Chesapeake Avenue from drive-on to pedestrian friendly seating areas
  
  
• Construction and maintenance of the Olde Wythe welcome sign
  
  
• Increase in city departments’ awareness of problem areas throughout Olde Wythe, increase in Codes and Compliance enforcement and follow-up, increased police presence including an increase in speed limit enforcement
